In the first section of the novel, how would you describe Melinda? Is she likable or unlikable? Why? I would describe Melinda as a shy girl that doesn’t have much confidence in herself. I personally think that she is both likable and unlikable, because her friends kind of just left and don’t want to be around her at all. I also think that she is likable, because shy girls can be kind of hot sometimes and the new girl form Ohio likes her. The new girls name is Heather and she asked Melinda if she was new too. I think that, so far, this book is alright. I think what will happen next is that she will make some friends at school later on when she is not as shy as she is and maybe become popular. I think that this book might teach me some lessons about life. I also think that this book might be kind of lame later on, that is just my opinion. When Melinda makes friends with this other girl Heather she will help her to talk to people more and answer. That is just a prediction of what I think will possibly happen.

Wow. Ok I like your insight on how your take the book so far, and how you explain that her friends left her but for the people who havent read the book wouldnt know why or anything like that. So use more examples from the book.
i strongly disagree with malinda being a shy person. but that is just my opinion.
i like the writing, I would have to agree with yout, she is pretty shy, but there is manys ways this book will end, we wont know untill its almost over. vary true everyone had their own opinon on the book. but good job.

I Agree because Rachel and all her other friends hate her so,she tried to be friends with Heather because she had no friends either,But she just despise Rachel and all her old friends because they were all angry at her because she is a victim of rape.

i agree tim but i also think that she is most unlikable. the teachers dont even really pa any attention to her, unless shes getting in trouble. she does talk to heather but remember she wants her freinds back she wants to let them know what was happening to her.
