Malcolm X

Malcolm only met Martin Luther King Jr. once in his life. It was in a news meeting. His house was burnt to the ground when he was only four years old. His father was shot and killed when he was fourteen years old. He got denied of his dream job. His dream job was to become a lawyer.

Malcolm was born in Omaha Nebraska. He died on February 21, 1965 New York, New York. His role model Islamic leader, his name was Elijah Muhammad. He met Martian Luther King Jr, only once in his forty years he lived. Malcolm was six years old when his father died. He got shot and killed by members of the K.K.K. When he dropped out of high school, he moved to Boston to live with his sister. Then he got involved in criminal activity such as street hustling, drug dealing, and became the leader of the gang called the gang of thieves in Roxbury and Harlem. He was sent to prison his sentence was eight-ten years. He was released from prison six years instead of eight-ten years. Moved to Chicago to live with Elijah Muhammad. He got married in 1958. He had a total of six daughters. He learned Elijah committed adultery. At 3:10pm, in 1965 he was shot fifteen times at close range and confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital. His wife died in the year 1997.  Her name was Betty Shabazz.

One of his greatest achievements was that he helped free the blacks. He also was a cosmetic and powerful speaker. He organized The Afro-American Unity. He also met Martin Luther King Jr. at a news conference.

He was an example of personal growth, spiritually as a kid he grew up as a Christian as a young adult-an adult he was Muslimism. Another example is that he overcame adversities and challenges. He did this by overcoming his father’s death, mom going into the nut house, and going to jail for six years.

This is my report about Malcolm X. I want you to know that I loved doing this report. I think I could never deal with the things that Malcolm had to overcome. He was a very brave and courage’s man. I don’t think could ever be that strong with the kind of things I need to overcome. What ever happens in your life always keep pursuing to your dream and or goal.

Rosa Parks

That she was in the bus and she was in the front and same guy side that she cant set there and she headed to move back because she was black and black and black people don’t have that mach rights because only where black and she did a speech about rights and hoe they can have more freedom and there life’s

In 1957 Mrs. Parks and her husband moved to patriot and when she arrested on a Thursday evening and at the age of 11 she enroiled in the Montgomery industrial and that when she use the bus they cant set on the front of the bus or they well get arrested because they cant set there only white people can set there and they well get mad only because they are black

That when she was little she went to a private school  founded by liberal-minded women  from the northern united  states

Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth was one of the best baseball players that have ever lived. He had a challenging childhood; his mother passed away, and his father was very busy running a business. He led the New York Yankees, to seven World Series. He was also one of the first five players to make it into the hall of fame. He really showed personal growth in his life, he came from nothing and turned into an incredible baseball player.
George Herman Ruth had eight kids in his family. He was raised in a poor family. He was raised in a poor family. His father owned a tavern, so he rarely spent time with his family. I think this information is very important, because it shows even if your family isn’t wealthy you can still follow your dreams. His mom died while he was young, that toke a very big toll on him, and that struggle made him even stronger.
Babes’ greatest accomplishment is that he led the Yankees to seven World Series. He had 56 major batting records before he passed away. He was one of the first five players to make it into the Hall of Fame. Total in his lifetime he had 714 home runs. I believe this is some of his greatest accomplishments, because all of these things are incredible. Not many baseball players have accomplished these things in their lifetime.
The aspect of the student creed that he follows is personal growth. He came up from nothing and no support and made it to the top. A lot of people come from bad circumstances, but that is no excuse to not to be successful. Babe was born into the great depression, and didn’t feel much love from his parents. He took baseball in and put a lot of passion into it. He was very grateful for all that he had. I think he was very grateful, for every last thing he had and because of that it made him an amazing person.
Babe Ruth really showed personal growth in his lifetime. He was treated very bad when he was younger. He helped the New York Yankees go to seven World Series. I think every one could reach their dream. Just like Babe Ruth did. He had a great influence on me and showed me you can do anything you want if you set your mind to it. We should all have the motivation to reach our dreams just like Babe Ruth!

Jesse Owens

When Jesse Owens was a child he was very poor and was abused as a child. When Jesse was in high school he set a world record for the 100 yard dash and the 200 yard dash. Jesse graduated from high school with pretty good grades. He didn’t go to college after high school. Jesse trained everyday to try and get into the Olympics.
Jesse Owen was born in 1936. Jesse had a hard time growing up. He was abused as a child. Jesse was the first African American track star athlete. In high school Jesse broke the 100 meter and 200 meter world record while he was in high school. Jesse overcame adversity with school because his mother didn’t make him go to school but he went anyways and ended graduating with good grades.
Jesse had accomplished a lot in his life time. But I think that he opened a lot of African Americans that liked to run. Jesse also has broke world records. One of the one’s that he said that he feels best about is being the first African American to win the Olympics

I think that Jesse follows education I’m going to school now and passing all my classes, getting A’s and B’s. Life long learning are the keys to life long learning. He was a leader and did what he wanted. He had a motto and it was like “Success is the best revenge”
Jesse Owens grew up around bad people. People that don’t go to school, people that do drugs rob people just all negative people. But Jesse could see through everything Jesse stayed out of trouble, Jesse went to school and graduated. He went to some tech school to go to a better school for track.

Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong is a athlete and a professional bike cycler. Lance Armstrong was also in the Olympics to do achievements. When lance was thirteen years old he wanted to prove himself to others. So he started to do cycling and training to be an athlete.

In lances life he didn’t really have much friends and encouragement from others. Pretty much all lance had in his life was him, mom and his rude step father. Lance got punished a lot and brutally from his step father. He also didn’t like his father’s way of being disrespectful to him and his mom. so pretty much lance had an unhappy life. Soon after his mom left his step father. Lance still continued for cycling, and Olympic awards. He also continued training while his was beating and punishing him before his mom left him. And the most major things he had in life was what happent with him having cancer, super heart and muscle enhances.

Say lance Armstrong’s greatest accomplishment was finishing Olympic cycling, and winning awards also achieving goals to pass wards and gold medals. his accomplishment goals started when he was 16 years old through a lot of years. Lance started his career by getting in training for cycling in mountains and canyons. He did a lot of exercising and weight lifts to get strong and better for his accomplishments. This is one of his greatest accomplishments because he had cancer, muscle problems, and a super heart. He also had some pain problems that he really didn’t bug him but he did accomplish these. I think its cool for him having these problems and being a famous winner of the Olympics.

Lance exemplifies self growth through these times. Lance showed self growth by all the training he did for these achievements because it helped him win medals and the cycling races. Lance also shows self-respect and achieving challenges by doing all the hard training and cycling training because he didn’t give up, he just continued the challenges. Another example is when he was getting tested for muscle, and super human jeans past down from family. Lance did not let these get in the way of his training and goals for the Olympics. He was pushing himself to go forward into the games and races for achievements. He also didn’t let anyone tell him he could not do anything even with his disrespectful dad in his life

Another way to explain the traits lance shows in his life is that by reading about lance Armstrong he was a leader role model to others. What I mean by  about that is while he was doing self growth and other traits. Also others would look up to him as a person who would not give up or put himself or others down. Lance was a type of person who could have changed publicity around him because he had muscle something, a really good pumping heart no one else could hardly have and strong mental encouragement for himself. People around him look up to him and see that because if you or someone had an issue or problem it doesn’t mean you have to give up, you could still do something and achieve a lot. Don’t let little things stop you from doing something. Work with a problem and keep going forward and at least achieve and think about the problem later.

Neil Armstrong

When Neil Armstrong was a young child he has always wanted to be an Astronaut. He went to college and he started flying on the 16th birthday when he got hit pilots license. Neil Armstrong is famous for being the first man to step foot on the moon, and his famous statement is “one small step for men, one giant leap for man kind.”  I think he is an example of Personal Growth, he showed he wanted to make his mind up on when he wanted to do. When he grew older he did what he wanted to do and he became an astronaut.
At the age of 14 he started taking flying lessons, he went to college in 1947 with a us navy scholarship, after two years he was called into active duty and won his jet pilot wings at Pehsacola Naval air station in Florida where he flew 78 combat missions during the Korean War. After transferring to the NACA high speed flight station @ Edwards air force base in California, he was selected as one of the first 3 NACA people to fly the x-15 rocket engine plane.

I think the greatest accomplishment that Neil Armstrong is making it to the moon and back, he went to training and to college to become an astronaut and fulfill his childhood dream of being an astronaut. He’s made seven flights in the X-15 in 1962 Armstrong decided to become an astronaut and applied for NASA selection and training, in 1962 he became America’s first Non-Military astronaut. In January 1969 Armstrong was selected as commander for Apollo 11, july 16 @ 9:32 am he lifted off from Florida.

Neil Armstrong fits in the personal growth area because he always wanted to fly in the air crafts, and be an astronaut and he followed up on his dreams and he succeeded in his dreams. He has always liked air crafts and air planes, se because he liked it so much he became an astronaut. After his space travels he still continued to work for the government.
Neil Armstrong is a great example of personal growth, because he built his life up since he was a young child. He’s had his mind set on being an astronaut, also fly planes and become a pilot, and he also followed his dreams and is a successful guy now. Neil Armstrong is famous for being the first man to travel to the moon and his great statement is “One step for man, one giant leap for man kind.” Keep your dreams in mind and keep chasing them than one day you’ll achieve it.

Harry Houdini

Erich Weiss, also known as Harry Houdini, grew up watching and performing trapeze and magic tricks. He would spend many hours practicing for his future career as a magician. Harry Houdini is known for his famous escapes from hand-cuffs, crates, and water tanks. Houdini resembles commitment to personal growth in his life by training and practicing his tricks so his body would be ready for when he would perform. Houdini would make sure he was perfectly applicable for his stunts and acts before he would perform them to the audience.
As a young boy Houdini was fascinated in trapeze and circus acts. As Houdini grew up he practiced circus acts such as the trapeze standing on a pole. He was always learning new magic tricks and death defying stunts. Soon Houdini was noticed by Martin Beck, who hired Houdini to perform at famous venues. Houdini became famous for his amazing escape acts.
Houdini was exceptionally well known for his amazing escapes especially his hand-cuff escape and straight jacket escape. Houdini would get a challenging act and overcome his challenge no matter the cost. To this day Harry Houdini (Erich Weiss) was and still is the greatest escape artist that has ever lived. After becoming a magician Houdini also became a movie director and stared in his own movies.
In all of Houdini’s life he overcame many adversities and challenges. Houdini would go into a stunt with confidence and would accomplish his escapes in a mind-boggling way leaving people wondering “how in the hell he did that.” Houdini having a life of moving around didn’t lose faith in his dreams and followed them even through all the tough times. Houdini would complete his act even though he was weak or unsure, he still would take a step foreword and accomplish great things. Houdini truly is the greatest escape artist who was faced with many trials and errors but still overcame it all just to follow his childhood dream.
Throughout Houdini’s life he accomplished and overcame many things in his life. His greatest accomplishment was fulfilling his dream and making it came true. Houdini truly resembles a person who started out with something small and made it into something big and grand. He made himself a life. We all have that ability. It’s our dream we have as a child. What we do with that dream is what matter. We all can over come the greatest challenge in our life and fulfill our dreams. We all have one we cling to. If we do whatever we can and whatever it takes to follow them and make them come true, we too can fulfill our dreams just like harry Houdini did. When we live our dream that’s when we truly have lived.

Jackie Robinson

One of the things that made Jackie Robinson the most valuable baseball player of his time, was when he was younger he led more than one sports to a championship.  And that lead him to be in the National Hall of Fame. His greatest accomplishment was breaking the segregation barrier with sports.

Jackie Robinson as an African-American baseball player was on display for the whole country to judge.  Jackie was the first baseball player to break Major League Baseballs color barrier that segregated sports for more than 50 years.  I think that breaking segregation in sports is huge, because if blacks weren’t able to play baseball now then I don’t think baseball would be as interesting and exciting.

One of Jackie Robinsons accomplishment that I think was his greatest, was being a black male and making it to the Hall of Fame.  Jackie Robinson became National League Rookie of the year with 12 homers, a league-leading 29 steals, and a .297 average at the end of his season with the Brooklyn Dodgers.  !949, he was selected as the NL’s most valuable player of the year and had a .342 batting average that same year. He was inducted into the Baseball Hal of Fame in 1962.  I think this is one of his greatest accomplishments because he was one of the first black males emitted into the Hall of
Fame.

The aspect from the creed that I think Jackie exemplifies is Overcome adversity and challenges.  His family overcame prejudice encounters that his family encountered.  And it strengthened their family bond.  I think that it’s amazing that he and his family still keep their heads up even though people were being prejudice towards them and others of there color.  His life legacy will be remembered as one of the most important in American history.

Jackie Robinson had many other accomplishments like how he became the first athlete to win varsity letters in four sports: Baseball, basketball, football and track.  Dealing with segregation wasn’t the only struggles he had to deal with in his earlier years of his life.  He had to leave college and enlist in the U.S Army due to financial difficulties.  And his mother raised him and his four other siblings on her own.

Stop It!

You yell and can’t seem to stop
STOP IT!
You keep sipping on that whiskey bottle full of your addiction
STOP IT!
Your making me hate you more and more everyday

You complain to my little sister for getting touched by her brother just
Because you are drunk
STOP IT
You ruin everything you touch. And everything
That I walk past

You complain that our family just isn’t good enough
STOP IT
We can’t move anywhere in our relationship like a father and daughter
Should because you’re powerless
Your powerless over your addiction your killing yourself slowly dad
STOP IT
My fingers want to grab that bottle and smash it cause
Then I could...
STOP IT
You taught me to never leave someone you love behind
But I seem to be getting farther and farther away from you
MAKE IT STOP.
I want you to live a healthy life and not kill yourself with something that you can not control so if you don’t
STOP IT
I WILL!!!!

Pain

How could you!
Where do you get
Off going behind my
Back, Smoking, Drinking,
 Doing DUSTER!
I hope you know
That I’m going
To start up again
Just to prove a point
To you! Uhhh….
“F” that I know how
Addicting that is and
I’m not going to put
My self in that kind of
Situation ever again!
You have made me so mad!
I have know
Idea how I feel right now!

Relationships

I like that twinkle in you eye’s
When you stare me deep in my eyes,
I can’t believe all those times I
Made you cry,
Than I began to wonder why,
I caused all this emotional stress
For you
When all you were trying to do is to stay true
And not leave me hanging in the blue,
Then I found out it was true
With you and my cousin Drew,
You both lied,
You both tried to hide it
You tried to make a food of me,
When you weren’t staying true to me,
Now it all turned into a democracy,
Are you freaking kidding me?!

Marines

They are the few
We are the proud
We’ll always serve
As well as protect

You know the saying
We’ve made it quite clear
We’ll quick in your door
To show you what we’re fighting for

This is a simple game
A game of strategy and survival
It’s a mission of success
A test of truth

Our main goal
Is to gain honor and respect
It’s who we are
This is what we’re here for

We fight for truth
We fight for freedom
We’re listening because
We are the MARINES

Lost Your Trust

It didn’t take much to lose your trust
Just one time for you to f*** up
Knuck up
Buck up
Take some ownership
But you can’t even do that much
So you just dip
Try to come back to me
You’ll get hit
I’ll make you look like a fool
And laugh in your face
It sure didn’t take long for you to be replaced
Yes! I’m trying to rub it in your face
You started this all in the first place
You think I’ll take you back
Only if I was wack
So lay off the crack
I’ve moved on.
And starting my new song

The Gold Sun

As the gold sun hits my soul
Laying there, the gold light
Coming from every direction.

It can never be lost.

Ad I lie there blinded
From the beauty
Blinded from the soft tenderness
Of the feeling I have.

The words can’t explain
The feeling I have.

It fills my heart
And soul with loyalty
Love and….
So much more.

Music

This is the best thing in the
World
In my mind it’s the answer for everything
It can help all your problems
It’s indescribable
It’s my therapy
It can help me cheer up when
I’m down
It has all sorts of different
Meanings
If you listen closely
You can hear the message
It makes me feel untouchable
Like there is nothing but peace in the world
Everyone should listen to it
It’s my life

I Hate You…

I hate you when you lie, I hate you,

You when you act like someone else, I hate you
I hate you when you disrespect.

Loves & Friends

Your hands touching
My face, rubbing your
Thumbs back and forth
Looking me in my eyes.<3

Holding my hand
Smiling and laughing
Laying down beside each other.<3

Walking down a narrow path
Never knowing what’s
Going to happen when
We’re together.<3

The warmth.
Your soft tenderness
The smile that lets me know
That you care.<3

Lost

As I run through this forest
Lost and unaware
Not knowing where I’m going
The trail wind around with no end

Like a butterfly flying
Swiftly through the air
Gliding, swooping, and diving
Being free

I am a lost child
Lost on this endless road
Chasing a dream
Hoping to be found

I try my hardest
Running around each corner
Searching for you
But never finding anything close to you

Everywhere I go
Everywhere I look
All I can think about
Is finding you

Searching for you
Is all I know
Searching for our memories
Searching for what we were

Who am I anymore
 who are you
why are we so
LOST!

I Love You

I love you when you come around, I love it
When you say I love you, I love it when
You don’t act so rude around your
Friends, I love that you are so respectful
I love it when you are so caring, I love
Hearing when you say you wont run away
I love how your hair shines in the sun
                          I love you……………….

Locked Up

It’s hard writing you from behind
These big green locked doors,
They won’t let me out,
They won’t let me free,
I want to grow some wings,
So I can fly far away
From the penitentiary,
When I walk through the doors
To the outside world, reality will
Hit me.
I’ll have to take a stand,
I’ll stand by your side,
Through the endless nights and sleepless
Days,
Soon enough all this will be a big
Foggy haze,
No more being locked up,
Away from my family

Fire, Fire in Your Eyes

Fire, fire in your eyes.
Fire, fire never dies.
Water, water gets hotter.
Ice, ice rolls the dice.

Green, green, blue, blue.
Red, red I’m dead.
Burn, burn it’s your turn.
Just keep burning in the skies.

Let me die, just let me die.
Let me fly, just let me fly.
Burn, burn it’s your turn.
Fire, fire in you eyes.

Let me die, just let me die.
Kill me now Kill me now it’s my turn to die.
Suicide feels much better
Its okay let me die, just let me go.

Heartbreak Overdose

Unafraid for what is to come
They never said this would be fun.
No matter the circumstances
I will overcome
What’s done is done
I choose this fate.
I walk on the beautiful space
To the golden gates
I laid to rest
Your picture on my chest
Heaven has taken my soul
I never thought six under
Would feel so low
Sense you were responsible for this
Your heart feels like its going to explode.
After you lose someone you love
Nothing will ever feel right
I never should have done what I did that night.
But it’s too late to say that
So I hope you know I love you
And goodnight

Effort

No effort for you!
I feel like I’m the only one putting any effort in our relationship!
I feel like I’m the only one trying to keep us together. Help me understand why I am feeling this way. It seems like your not even trying. It makes me think about weather I should just stop trying? It’s been two years to the day and I still can’t read you, maybe that’s why I still want to be with you! Maybe I should just wait to see if I can see any signs or not. Gosh I wish that I could tell the future and see what’s in store for the two of us!!

Pain

I love.
I hate.
You love.
You hate.

I feel.
You don’t.
I felt pain.
You didn’t.

It’s my life.
I do what I want.
It’s not your life.
Get away from me.

We love.
We feel.
We hate.
It’s our life

Home

I love the way I feel
When I go home
It’s the best feeling in the world
To me
I feel like I’m exactly where
I’m suppose to be
I am always happy
I feel like I have no cares
Or worries in the world
I feel like I fit in
I’m not the black sheep
I wish I could be there
All the time
One day I will be
Able to do that
But until then I can keep
Wishing, hoping, dreaming

The White Room

She is going insane as she sits in this white room.
Not knowing when and where to open her eyes
It’s killing her to watch these people yell and scream; she drowns herself in her own river of tears.
Her hands are locked and she can not seem to get out of the ball
That she is curled in.
It’s as if she needs to burst out of her shell
The one that is driving her crazy.
The white walls start pounding in her face those white padding’s push against her cheek. She gets up and opens the door
She found herself standing at the top of the staircase lost
For words
Her dad yells up the stairs “shut your dam door”
