Malcolm only met Martin Luther King Jr. once in his life. It was in a news meeting. His house was burnt to the ground when he was only four years old. His father was shot and killed when he was fourteen years old. He got denied of his dream job. His dream job was to become a lawyer.
Malcolm was born in Omaha Nebraska. He died on February 21, 1965 New York, New York. His role model Islamic leader, his name was Elijah Muhammad. He met Martian Luther King Jr, only once in his forty years he lived. Malcolm was six years old when his father died. He got shot and killed by members of the K.K.K. When he dropped out of high school, he moved to Boston to live with his sister. Then he got involved in criminal activity such as street hustling, drug dealing, and became the leader of the gang called the gang of thieves in Roxbury and Harlem. He was sent to prison his sentence was eight-ten years. He was released from prison six years instead of eight-ten years. Moved to Chicago to live with Elijah Muhammad. He got married in 1958. He had a total of six daughters. He learned Elijah committed adultery. At 3:10pm, in 1965 he was shot fifteen times at close range and confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital. His wife died in the year 1997. Her name was Betty Shabazz.
One of his greatest achievements was that he helped free the blacks. He also was a cosmetic and powerful speaker. He organized The Afro-American Unity. He also met Martin Luther King Jr. at a news conference.
He was an example of personal growth, spiritually as a kid he grew up as a Christian as a young adult-an adult he was Muslimism. Another example is that he overcame adversities and challenges. He did this by overcoming his father’s death, mom going into the nut house, and going to jail for six years.
This is my report about Malcolm X. I want you to know that I loved doing this report. I think I could never deal with the things that Malcolm had to overcome. He was a very brave and courage’s man. I don’t think could ever be that strong with the kind of things I need to overcome. What ever happens in your life always keep pursuing to your dream and or goal.
