Locked Up

It’s hard writing you from behind
These big green locked doors,
They won’t let me out,
They won’t let me free,
I want to grow some wings,
So I can fly far away
From the penitentiary,
When I walk through the doors
To the outside world, reality will
Hit me.
I’ll have to take a stand,
I’ll stand by your side,
Through the endless nights and sleepless
Days,
Soon enough all this will be a big
Foggy haze,
No more being locked up,
Away from my family

I think this is a good one. I miss my family too. I'm sure you'll be back with them one day!! :)

Being Locked up is horrible and makes you feel like you never did anything right. I like how you put this together.
